New disciplinary action looming for Father Pavone?

This doesn't seem good.

Father Frank Pavone, the founder of Priests for Life (PFL), once again faces possible disciplinary action because of his refusal to allow episcopal oversight of his organization’s finances. New York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan has revealed, in a letter to the bishops of the US, that the Vatican conducted an apostolic visitation of Priests for Life last year. After that investigation, the cardinal says, he was asked by the Congregation for the Clergy to “assist Father Pavone with several necessary reforms.”

Priests for Life account to the U.S. government for tax purposes, even as the Right to life must (501 3 c) (501 4 c)
There is no necessary reason for Father Pavone to report to the Vatican other than harassment and perhaps excommunication for reviling the: "people as pollution" project and the "world is overcrowded" by God's immortal souls.
If the U.S. says Priests for Life is OK, why can't the Vatican accept that?

Priests for Life - they are still battling the government in the courts - battling on behalf of citizens, our Constitution / Religious Liberty, not to mention (ultimately) the protection of lives of human beings in the womb.

All the while, they (at Priests for Life) all continue to reach out to those who have had abortions, those considering it, and proactively seek to inform the public about the Truth of Life and Truth of our Faith.

Frankly, I pray that those who are upset with Priests for Life and/or Fr Pavone, pray for them, read what they have posted at their web site, and make sure to evaluate personal motives.

As for me, I will continue to support them as I have for many years, as well as other Catholics on the web, on TV, on the radio ... those Catholics writing books and articles as well. We all have faults, certainly. Nevertheless, rarely do we have all the facts about situations, and we all need to be wise about what we messages we spread, the here-say we take to heart.

St Francis de Sales (Doctor of the Church) has said much on such things. We (IMO) would do better spending time reading him and putting his Devout Life teaching into practice.

Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year.

Of course,in my previous comment I mean "hearsay", not here-say. ... Oy.

Priests for Life also defend the lives of persons threatened by euthanasia and the disabled.
At his age, Pope Francis must be concerned about euthanasia.

" creation of a new independent board to give the organization proper oversight."
This sounds like a Dolan takeover to me.
Just like Mahony tried to take over EWTN from Mother Angelica.
Since "Priests for Life" have had clean audits and comply with US tax laws, Dolan has no legs to stand on.
Sounds like we all need to send a donation directly to Priests for Life, since Dolan is clearly trying to destroy them.
