Marquette Prof: “Gay Rights” Can’t Be Discussed As Disagreement Would Offend Gays

John McAdams reports the latest absurdity from the Jesuit university:

A student we know was in a philosophy class (“Theory of Ethics”), and the instructor (one Cheryl Abbate) was attempting to apply a philosophical text to modern political controversies. So far so good. She listed some issues on the board, and came to “gay rights.” She then airily said that “everybody agrees on this, and there is no need to discuss it.”

Citizens have human rights. People who are gay have human rights. There is no such thing as "gay rights" without infringing on human rights, as is obvious in this post. And again, I must point out that professors who know nothing ought not to be teaching.
