The Vatican felt compelled on Tuesday to deny that Pope Francis had "abolished sin", after a well-known Italian intellectual wrote that he had effectively done so through his words and gestures. Wow, I needed a laugh and I got one!!!
Pope Francis is preaching repentance through the Sacrament of Penance, the forgiveness of sins and the reinstatement of the state of grace. Scalfari, the atheist denies the human soul. What does Scalfari know about religion, God or even the human being, composed of body and soul and about the endowed gifts of free will and intellect? Denuded of belief in the soul, the atheist has no truth in him.
