According to this article, Father Orsi believes that the treatment Terri Shiavo received at the hands of her husband and the courts, was "proportional." I believe that makes anything Father Orsi says on this subject suspect.
A person who has truly suffered "whole brain death" requires much more than a ventilator to be kept alive. They also need multiple very strong meds to maintain their blood pressure and regulate their heart rate. They also usually cannot control their body temp and require cooling blankets or other such technology. If this little girl is currently being maintained with mechanical ventilation alone, I seriously doubt she has suffered whole brain death.
