Hey Rhode Island Has a Christmas Tree Again, Not a Holiday Shrub

Christmas makes a comeback.

”Christmas” is returning to Rhode Island’s capitol building. Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee put out a statement Monday announcing that the tree at the State House will be called a “Christmas tree,” ending a two-year long controversy.

The principle of separation of church and state does not allow the government to establish a religion over and above what the citizens choose for themselves. In free will the citizens choose. The citizens' choice may not be prohibited by the government."...or prohibit the free exercise thereof." the First Amendment casually ignored by the atheists. "...or prohibit the free exercise thereof." gives citizens prayer in public school, Christmas trees, "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, all recourse to Divine Providence, even the Ten Commandments in public.
