Pope Francis on The Science of Tenderness

A much needed reminder:

It’s harder to open our hearts and let God love us than to love God in return. But the only way to really love Him is to love others, especially the poor. God is an expert in the science of tenderness and we should allow ourselves to be loved by Him. This was Pope Francis’ message at morning Mass Friday on the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I will say this and will keep saying it as long as I am alive during this pope's tenure: If Francis really wants to help "the poor," he can start by selling off some of the billions the Vatican owns in stocks, bonds, securities and shares in holding companies and various business, and give the proceeds to charities helping persecuted Christians or dioceses having problems keeping schools and parishes open.

Talk is cheap, Bergoglio. Put some juice behind your fancy words, or drop dead. The Catholic Church (at least in the United States) is infested with golden-tonged phonies (Dolan, Mahony, Chaput). We don't need any in Rome.
