And it turns out that religious freedom may become extremely expensive in the near future. The HHS mandate requires religious institutions like Catholic colleges to provide coverage for abortifacients, contraceptives and sterilization procedures. If they refuse, they have to pay a tax. A huge tax.
According to Congressman James Sensenbrenner, the Internal Revenue Service allows the government to tax employers to the tune of $100 per day, per employee. That means a Catholic institution would be forced to pay $36,500 per employee, per year for the right to be Catholic.

We cannot buy our way out of atheism. This mandate is the practice of atheism by individuals who reject our founding principles, and establish atheism against and in violation of the First Amendment and Amendment Nine. Let them go to an atheistic country, with some help if need be.
Our money says "IN GOD WE TRUST" Obama needs to bow to GOD. IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH for FREEDOM'S sake IMPEACH
Your example of 50 employees makes a great point, but looking at the extreme, Notre Dame for example, with its roughly 12,000 employees, would need to pay $438 Million annually for its right to conscience. This of course excludes any students who purchase health insurance through the University.
Extortion by any other name. This is not the high cost of Religious Freedom. This is the criminal enterprise of the atheist, the tyrant, the thief.
