Fr. Pavone Considering Founding New Order

Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, has said that if his bishop does not allow him to return to full-time pro-life work, he will consider being incardinated in a different diocese or founding a religious order to continue his pro-life ministry.

The well-known pro-life priest also said that he had been actively talking with Bishop Patrick J. Zurek of Amarillo, Texas for months about spending more time in the diocese before the bishop forbid him from ministry outside of the diocese.

Father Patrick Peyton, the rosary priest had a vocation within a vocation. He spread the rosary devotion around the world. Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta had a vocation within a vocation. To defend life is to defend every doctrine in the church. Blessed Mother said: "Do whatever HE tells you."

Save my soul, Mother Angelica of Eternal Word Television Network is a vocation within a vocation, and it always fascinates me how different from the first vocation is the second vocation. Mother Angelic had vowed to be a cloistered Poor Clare nun.

If Fr. Pavone becomes the head of a new order, wouldn't he, as the head, expect obedience from others?

And if someone else is the head of the order, would Fr. Pavone give him obedience?

Well he would still have to be obedient to the Pope, right?

@Mack Hall HGS. Servants of the servants of God must have valid reasons and purposes for their commands. It appears that Bishop Zurek, while scathingly incriminating Father Frank Pavone has not justified his commands. Remember that St. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake because her bishop was jealous of her.
The unborn are brought into existence at the will of our Creator (when two become one and God wills another immortal soul into existence) and each and every person is a citizen of the universe, a member of the human species and the church. For Father Pavone to be prevented from saving the unborn would be more wrong and fall on the bishop. Bishop Zurek needs to make a gift of Father Pavone to the mission of saving the unborn, or accept the consequences of being guilty of the blood of the innocents.
Father Pavone is actually doing the bishop's work in spreading the Gospel of Life around the world.

Ah, but that was a French bishop. I'm sure a Texas bishop would never endorse burning people.
