Hmmm-- reading the article, it seems like the thing that triggered the complaint was that they were also running a church out of their home and having 50 people over for services every Sunday.

I can see why this would be annoying to neighbors, since it's a WEEKLY event. Most big parties/etc. are once or twice a year, and if a neighborhood has a 'party house' that hosts large parties every weekend, neighbors will usually call the city about that as well.

I think, what it comes down to is that if you don't want neighbors calling code enforcement and meddling in your business, don't buy land in a subdivision or city---

The thing is--how is it annoying the neighbors if it's not affecting the parking? The article says they have a large backyard so parking is provided for.... Is it just too much coming and going? Too much residual prayer hanging in the air, lol?

And depending on what crowd attends the Sunday services, you could be talking about only 5-10 families... practically a "family Sunday dinner at Grandmas" for some families :)
