Those whose secular agendas have brought our country to the brink are the same ones that refuse to see that our only hope is in God. If we as a people continue to turn our face from Him, He will let us continue on the path to ruin. What's happening today is no different than what has happened in the past. The blessing of free choice carries with it the possibility of dire consequences.
