Letterman Knocks Priests, Donohue Knocks Back

Gotta' love the Catholic League:

On last night's "Late Show with David Letterman," the CBS host said he was "stunned" and "fascinated" by Anthony Weiner's predicament. He then said the following: "Honest to God, is this the kind of behavior you'd expect from a congressman! No. In simple terms, no. It is not the kind of behavior you'd expect from a congressman. It is the kind of behavior you'd expect from a priest."

Every accused has a constitutional right to be faced by his accuser. Every priest denied his constitutional rights has a civil lawsuit against David Letterman. Not only does David Letterman not name the accused, but denies the priest, every priest a citizen, his day in court. Our tax dollars at work??? David letterman is not a comedian. David Letterman is a criminal. To deny any person constitutional and civil rights is to forfeit one's own citizenship. david Letterman's ignorance of the Rule of Law, of human decency and the common good goes far beyond forfeiting his citizenship.

Herewith, again, If David Letterman knows of any priest who has committed a crime of clerical abuse of children he must inform the proper authorities and the criminal must be punished. Has he witnessed any crime? To not report the criminal to proper authorities is aiding and abetting a criminal in his flight from Justice and David Letterman an accomplice. Who is this priest who Letterman accuses to every citizen? Let the priest come forward and be faced by his accuser, face trial under the Rule of Law and his constitutional rights, or let Letterman be penalized for bearing false witness, the eighth Commandment and perjury in a court of law. Demand to know the name of the priest Letterman has witnessed committing the crime or Letterman has forfeited his citizenship in America for impugning, diminishing and obliterating the common good.

It would be nice of Mr. Donahue to defend his own actions:

@Vermont Crank:
Could you post some information on the Anti-defamation League in comparison. Are there any investments that do not violate every civil right in our culture? Is there a solution to the corruption and decadence in our culture?
