Anglican Dog Recieves Communion

Actually, I don't really know if the dog was Anglican or not but Al Kresta has the story:

A dog has received communion at an Anglican parish in Toronto. Pets are permitted in the church.

“The minister welcomed me and said come up and take communion, and Trapper [the dog] came up with me and the minister gave him communion as well,” said Donald Keith, the dog’s owner. “Then he bent his head and said a little prayer.”

While an Anglican minister is not confecting the
Real Presence during their service, until now I
at least believed that he wasn't manufacturing
doggie treats.

An animal, not being subject to original sin and
incapable of committing sin, is already united with
its Creator as much as its nature permits. Unlike
us. Which is why we go to church, and dogs don't
need to receive communion.
