I thought that he already sat at the right hand of da faddah? He needs a Blackberry?

I had an uncle who swore that he had a dispensation from Sunday mass because his job ended late Saturday night and he needed to stop at a bar for a few boilermakers to wind down. Too bad that they didn't have Blackberries in the 1950s.

Oh come now. While I think that trying to stay in touch with God without church attendance is . . . silly? pointless? . . . there are lots of good, committed Catholics out there these days using iPhones and iPods to help them live their faith through Rosary and Liturgy of the Hours apps, devotional reading, alarms set to go off periodically so they will drop everything and pray. Surely these are good things! If Obama uses his Blackberry to try to maintain a spiritual life, more power to him! I don't think it's enough, but it's gotta be better than nothing . . .
