Do It For Wile E. Coyote

This is just weird. A congressman has asked that people write in the names of loved ones who died because of our awful healthcare system. Of course, someone already wrote in Wile E. Coyote, which if you ask me, that dude needs a great healthcare plan because he's constantly blowing himself up and falling off cliffs. Pundette has the story:

Is Rep. Alan Grayson trying to set a House record for the speed with which a new member destroys his own credibility? It's a competitive field but his performance thus far is hard to beat. From The Hill:

The new site, namesofthedead.com, seizes on Grayson’s comment on the House floor that the Republican healthcare plan is for people to “die quickly.” It invites visitors to log-in the names and stories of friends and relatives who died because they lacked health insurance.

Grayson is "beclowning" himself all the way to the bank.

Grayson is "beclowning" himself so well that the R's can't get anyone in his district to run against him in 2010.

Grayson is "beclowning" himself so much that in survey done for name recognition of prospective Grayson opponents, fake names had a higher name recognition than names of actual possible candidates.

That's right, Wile E. Coyote is polling better in Grayson's district than any prospective "R" opponent. Maybe the idiots who are choosing to mock the dead in this fashion are on to something...

Interesting.

I decided to check and see, since I live in the general area.
Dr. Ken Miller, a physician who has practiced in the Central Florida area for many years, has decided to run against Mr. Grayson. Dr. Miller is also Catholic - a plus, as far as I am concerned.

Mr. Grayson has over $400,000 in available funds, yet is owing approximately $1,000,000ish.

Dr. Miller only has about $40,000 in available funds, and owes about $15,000. He was running against another candidate in another district but has decided that the statements Mr. Grayson made are so inaccurate that he's going to make a go of it.

Yep, as I said, his comments are so "outrageous" they can't get anyone in his district to run against him so they have to import someone.
I'm sure that'll work at least as well as running Alan Keyes against Obama in 2004.

I just liked his debt. Pretty impressive.

Not that he could see how much money came in for Joe Wilson and decided, Hey, this could work for me, too. Nah. That would never happen.

Considering Grayson's wealth is estimated to be about $31,000,000 I don't think he's worried about a paltry mil.

Well, that's good for him. Makes him a wonderful, benevolent Democrat, only interested in the little folk.

And I don't think that Dr. Miller will have to travel too far, for that "import", since he lives in the Orlando area. Can he win? Who knows? It only appears that he is doing this out of his heart, not necessarily his wallet.

If Grayson has over $31 Million in wealth, maybe he can kick in a bunch for illegal aliens' health care then.

Grayson does care about the little guy, that's why he has "beclowned" himself by starting a website to compile a list of American citizens who have died needlessly due to a lack of health insurance.
