Sorry, Matt, I have to disagree.

Having been its homeboy more often than I care to remember, unemployment is not funny under any circumstances. Unemployment is disorientation, insecurity and fear; and entirely non-partisan.

At the risk of accusations of being a po-faced jackass, what makes that post - heck, I'll just say it - un-Christian was that it contained no impression that 'The Boss' was willing to make the slightest self-sacrifice in order to ensure that any member of his 'family' did not have to endure disorientation, security and fear. I will buy the corporate crock about businesses being families when I see The Boss ditching the Lexus for a Volkswagen in hard times. If his business has a department called 'Human Resources', he thinks of the flesh and blood childen of God who help his business flourish as being little better than tools, like spanners or monkey-wrenches.

'Funny' as in a poetic justice kind of way!
